Default Rusian Provodnikov Small George Chuvalo

Last night I saw a great slugfest between Tim Bradley and today's pocket edition of George Chuvalo, Rusian Provodnikov...Chuvalo and Provodnikov
though seperated by 60 pounds look so alike, and fight so similar it's uncanny...My observation. What say you ?

I was thinking throughout the fight how much Provo resembled Chuvalo in appearance.

Their styles are similar too, but a key difference is that Provo almost entirely neglected the body, which may have been one of the factors that cost him the fight. Chuvalo hammered the body at every opportunity.

I'll tell you something I find funny. I've seen Provo fight several times now and I've never seen him counter as well, look as brutish against someone he shouldn't look brutish against or seem more dangerous as a name fighter to me. But, conversely, I feel Bradley was hurt in a lasting manner that I'd not seen of him before and simply never was out of deep water again during the fight. Even when he was taking rounds and seemed recovered and in control, he just wasn't the Tim Bradley I've grown accustomed to and every time he really got clocked he seemed like he could be stopped. I mean, Pacquiao was laying into him with huge straight lefts without ever putting him in danger of a stoppage.

I really wouldn't be surprised if he was seriously damaged in the first round or two as he'd thought, and we find out some time today that he was fighting with a serious problem. He sounded punch drunk to me after the fight and claimed he was dizzy in the post fight interview and thought he'd been concussed early. I was baffled by the turnout, honestly. One guy fought less intelligently than normal, one guy looked like he took a huge step up in progress as a total package. I'm anticipating the context of their next fights like nobody's business.

See, this is how many comments you get about a Chuvalo comparison when it gets moved to the general forum.

I don't see Chuvalo in him at all.
Pretty typical basic power puncher.

I'm positive that Herrera would beat him again if they fought.
