Default RING only rates 4 Aussies

There are only 4 Aussie fighters ranked in RING's divisional top 10s at the present time >>>

Daniel Geale: #1 contender middleweight.
Sam Soliman: #10 contender middleweight.
Billy Dibb: #8 contender featherweight.
Vic Darchinyan: #7 contender jnr featherweight.

>>> Just further evidence Daniel Geale is our best P4P fighter by a street. Would be nice to see a few other Aussies rated by RING, but as far as real talent goes the cupboard is almost empty.

We only have a couple of hundred pro fighters in the country, so even having 4 ranked top 10 fighters in all divisions is a good effort, and probably generous.

True. But Aussie boxing has seen far better days.

Maybe I'm just grumpy because I had to settle for a tea today.

Sakio Bika - #8 Super Middleweight. He has spent he last 308 weeks or about 6 years now in the top 10. Out of the current top 10 he is behind only Bute and Froch in time spent in the top 10. Yes he is Australian and has been for a number of years, despite it saying Cameroon on the list.

Geale number 1 P4P in Australia by miles.
Could argue Darchinyan as 2 followed by Bika & then Dib.

Boom Boom However, it's 3. Darch relinquished his Aussie status yonks ago...hence the reason very few Aussies give a shit what he does.

Darchinyan still holds Australia as his home.

I would have included Bika in my list but missed him when I scanned through RINGs top 10s. It didn't help they listed him under Cameroon. Then again, maybe that's what he prefers now?
