Thurmans punches even SOUND different than most fighters.

just listen to his shots against Quintana.

Hes not the finished article yet, but to me, hes the next big thing.

And to think, i discovered this guy when he was getting dissed by Malignaggi

You can say that for any up and coming boxer. Look at all the threads about GGG, Lomachenko, Broner(before he lost), etc.

Well who are the alternatives? They have to hype somebody as the next best thing, and statistically they will be right eventually

I mean, look at Broner. Broner was "the next Floyd" except "more aggressive, more powerful, more entertaining, etc"

Matthysse... One person called him the next Manny Pacquiao. He was a devastating power puncher, but with more skill than your average power punchers like Provo, Rios, Maidana, etc... He had what it takes to be great, but who knew he also had some of the worst luck in boxing

Thurman hasn't failed any tests just yet. He's a slick but aggressive power puncher with hand speed and solid boxing skill. His chin is still in question, and he has yet to fight an equally slick opponent to help us determine how far his skills will take him. But you can't deny the potential
