Investing in goverment bonds is actually normally a very safe investment. Bonds are definately a safer investment than stocks. And goverment bonds are generally safer than corporate bonds. Tito just got unlucky. Up until the last few years, Puerto Rican government bonds where a very attractive investment vehicle.

Yeah. Sounds like the adviser just did as he was told really. Still. It's never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket.

If you're a money manager, you have to do what your client asks. They asked this guy to invest the money in the safest place possible. So right there, government bonds are where he had to put the money. You could argue that he should have invested in different goverment bonds. However, that would've subjected Trinidad to taxation. PR goverment bonds were just recently downgraded to junk status within the past few months. So it's not like the money was invested knowing that the Puerto Rican goverment was under such a financial strain. It's a tough situation, but it's hard to point fingers. I don't think anyone acted maliciously.

Surely Andrew Golota and Eusebio Pedroza are two of the kings in that area.

True but with the after math of the credit crunch has left many countries financial standing on weak legs due to excessive national debt. Government bonds haven't been a good investment for some time.

Personally if I had the kind of wealth Tito had I'd stick a good amount in a Swiss bank account with UBS or Credit Suisse as a reserve and then invest in secure stocks like Berskshire Hathaway which has averagde about 30-40% growth per annum over the last 20 years and has a cash reserve of about $65 billion so unlikely to ever face much financial difficulty.

Homeboy... Why is this video filled with mainly black fighters? Where is margarito with the wraps? Salido, mares, Chavez with the low blows? Vargas, Morales and Salido with the roids? Come on man...get it right.

I assume you are joking. There's literally thousands of fights to choose from where fighters foul.

Roids and wraps don't really fit in with the rest of the theme.

As far as the low blows, it's got Eusebio Pedroza, Arturo Gatti, Andrew Golota.

It would've been better if he would've wasted it on hookers, gambling, drugs, cars etc. so he could've at least enjoyed it.
