Cristian Mayer will fly to USA next week to speak with IBF about the situation. I suppose WBC will also respect more Deontey Wilder instead of Wlad. The reason is that Golden Boy Promotion's fighters got many more potential title fights with WBC then K-2.

WBC cuts Wlad. Stiverne must fight Wilder, according to Mauricio Suleyman!

I will get criticized again by some because he’s only got 20 fights, good boxing skills but too raw or green behind his ears. A unification fight would be great. Fans would love to see it and I would love to see it myself for the undisputed championship and all the titles. I am super interested.”
Well it's pretty much the whole Europe that wants to see Klitschko vs. Pulev. He was obviously trying to justify his attempt to fight Stiverne before Pulev (it would be justifiable actually), but the most recent news are that the WBC has turned that down and Stiverne will fight Wilder next, so obviously Klitschko vs. Pulev is happening this September.

OK so what is Wladimir going to do to evade Pulev's jab? It seems the fight is happening in September.

Very exciting match-up. This is the only good fight for Klitschko atm. Fury and Wilder are still too green. Stiverne has no chance. Only Pulev is a genuinely intriguing challenge for Klitschko at this stage.

How will Klitschko deal with Pulev's physicality and wrestling skills? Will he stay outside and use his reach advantage? Or will he try to out-wrestle the younger man? Staying outside seems like the safe strategy, but on the other hand Klitschko is 38 now and Pulev might have the speed advantage.

It's a good match up. Pulev is a very confident fighter and has a mean streak in him that will help him. He also has very fast hands and throws stinging combinations. He is technically sound as well. On the flip side Klitschko has a huge edge in power and experience against better fighters. Can Pulev take the straight right all night is the question because he may have to

Wladimir Klitschko will NOT defend his IBF title against Pulev. "We are negotiating with Stiverne promotional team" - Bernd Boente #boxing

The Duck is still on ... There must be something that backs off Wlad from fighting Pulev! How was Leapai good enough to face the champ and Pulev was "too raw and green behind the ears"

much more money to be earned from fighting Stiverne in a super unification fight than a mandatory vs Pulev

hopefully he does face Pulev, because despite not having much of a chance, he will make Wlad work for the win

Yes I don't consider unifying the belts as a duck of Pulev. Leapai fight happened because there was no wbc belt holder yet. I am surprised though if this unification comes through the WBC made it pretty clear Wilder must be next fight.

No, if Wlad does not face Pulev next it is a clear duck. Enough with these excuses! They will always find a reason to avoid someone. And you know what ... there so much more money in a fight against the winner of Stiverne/ Wilder that there`s no reason to hurry for the WBC belt. He will win against both of them and he knows it. If Wlad takes the belt from Stiverne now, then he will say I have a mandatory in Wilder and he will fight him instead of Pulev.
Come on champ, show us what you got!

Now it is so obvious that Wlad avoids Pulev in any costs. Boente says there was not a WBC'champ last moth ,but Wlad could have faced Pulev instead of Leapai. Why K2 is negotiating with Stiverne's trainer, but not with Don King? Perhaps ,because Wlad sued Don King in 2006 and they have nothing in common anymore. WBC's president was very clear that Stiverne must fight Wilder ,but not Klitschko, unless Wilder step aside. We all know that Wilder asked for $10 milion to step down and Klitschko would never pay that money.
But K2 still pretends to dealing with Stiverne's trainer, instead of close the deal with Pulev.
It is obvious that Wlado is running really scared......come on Kazahstan boy face Pulev?

I think that the best scenario for most of the fans will be Klitschko v Stiverne and Wilder v Pulev on the same event. Afterwards the winners face each other. As a result we have a unified champion and contenders have their chances too. Though it is highly unlikely because it involves four different promoters - K2, King, GBoy and Sauerland.
