For me, the first thing that comes to mind is Archie Moore's counter right that knocked Marciano down, although Marciano didn't seem hurt.
Very unorthodox looking punch yet perfectly executed, he got his right hand immediatly back in the position to block a left hook. I guess one develops his own style after 200+ professional fights. Let's hear some others. |

The weirdest punches I've ever seen thrown were by heavyweight Tommy "Hurricane" Jackson, back in the '50s. He had an arsenal of weirdness.
He threw jabs with both hands at the same time, and -- for lack of a better description, "cymbol punches." Both hands to the head at the same time, as if banging cymbols. Can't say they were all that affective, but they sure as hell were strange. |

Foreman's swings in the 70s looked weird (Ali's piss take is brilliant) but were effective. |
