Exactly. If the country had got behind Joe after he defeated Eubank, I garauntee you it would have helped Joe get better matches, win or lose, he would have showed the warrior inside.

I live in London and i'd say that the average Londoner who is interested in sports would know who Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton were. Outside of people with a knowledge of sports im not so sure. But the same could be said for any sports people who are not in the public eye 24/7
