Duran - Buchanan: Duran was beating him soundly. After the 13th Buchanan fell down clutching his groin and claimed a low blow. The ref awarded Duran the fight by TKO. Many commentators at the time said Buchanan knew hewas losing and faked the low blow. Watch the video, about 4:05 and then 6:45 on the replay. I don't see a low blow here. Do you?

There's no clear view of the blow landing below the belt, but from that angle it looks obvious that it will land low, and Buchanan reacted exactly how you would think a fighter would if he got hit low right when Duran pulled his arm back after hitting him. I believe there was a low blow, even though we can't clearly see the punch land because of the angle, it appears that it is going to land very low when Duran throws it. And yes, everyone, Buchanan himself, knew he was losing, but I don't believe he faked it. There was also controversy about the punch being right at or a little after the bell.
