Nice to see you again Mohak.

There is only one thing you need to know about Ross. He is God.

Fritzie Zivic is the self confessed "second dirtiest figher in the history of boxing". His fight with Bummy Davis is the stuff of legend, Davis finally bing disqualified for "repeatedly kicking his opponent" (no film, but I have the transcript from the radio-broadcast). Davis was then put on trial for his licence and Zivic testified on his behalf. "He only did it because I laced him in the eyes". In fact Zivic laced him in the eyes numerous times.

He was a good fighter, an aggressive volume puncher who could also box a bit. He was also a most excellent ring general. Like his brothers, he would fight anybody you put in front of him. When he lifted the welterweight title he took it from no less a figure than Henry Armstrong. He also fought a celebtrated trilogy with fellow Pittsburghian Charley Burley.

A very good, very underated fighter, he'd be a handful for literally any Welter who has ever lived fighting under his own ruleset.

Ambers is one of these guys who had about 10,000 fights. His pa went bust and he took up the fight game young. His real name is mad, long, and Italian sounding, but I can't remember it. Lost one of his first 46, and I suspect he may have become shopworn a little earlier than some of his contempories. Beat Canzoneri, which is no joke, but he was inconsistent and tended to lose his non-title fights. Dropped the title v Armstrong in a close on, then won it back in a contriversial one. Jenkins beat him for the title. By that time he was pretty much done in my opinion.

He was a fighter.

Zivic, check.

I wish all threads worked like that, with a little reward at the end. However bizzare.
