Despite that fighters much lower rating in a historical sense.
Like Iran Barkley. Not a bad name to have a W against on anyones record, and high end boxers never really did stop trying to get wins over him even late into his career. |

Though he was faded, Holman Williams is a nice scalp for LaMotta and Cerdan to have.
Gatti is not a great fighter in the historical sense, but anyone with a win over him has a notable scalp. You'd also be doing yourself no harm in earning a win over Ward. |

Roy William comes to mind, and in the same vein, Earnie Shavers. Both pretty avoided 70's guys.
