IMO you shouldn't need a coach at international level - certainly not one who seems to want a lot of control..... unless the side is seriously in the doldrums, such as Australia in the mid-80's when they had Bobby Simpson, a really hard character who instilled a work ethic and competitiveness that became the hallmark of future Aussie teams......

A guy who would offer a guy like Pietersen support (rather than vision) would be my choice - perhaps Tom Moody?
