So let me get this straight coach, the oponent that is in front of you, you should look him in the eyes, and at the same time use your peripherals viewing viewing abilities to watch his body "which should also be located in front of you"?

but using the peripherals viewing abilities would indicate looking to the extreme left or right side of one

unbeknownst to you and the gulliable that makes no sense at all!

What I mean by peripherals is looking him straight in the face and viewing his body and arms from the corner of you eyes. Plus hooks come from extreme left to right angles.

Whatever the exact definition is it doesnt matter, Im sure he got the point I was trying to give.

You need something better to bitch about.

use a stiff jab. another main thing is, is to make them come to u, most fast fighters r fast because they r good at countering, making them come to u might change things up a bit

Best thing against a pair of fast hands is a constantly moving target.

Practice moving the head from side-to-side with an irregular rhythm. Don't forget to jab while you're moving your head.

The combination of constant, irregular head movement and a jab will result in the opponent's own offensive reflexes slowing down a bit. So when he sees an opening, the punch won't get off as fast as it usually would if he had a predictable target. The handspeed would still be the same, but the time it takes to start his punch would slow down.

The answer to speed is timing. However if you are facing someone who faster than you and better at timing people then you are stuck.

This is when you do a risk-reward assessment and you'll have to do things like punch with him, or be first and last, or let a barrage of shots go so one will land.

In a pro fight you can slow them down by muscling them and ripping the body up. Look at Cotto v Judah, Quintana, Corley and Malignaggi.

Timing can beat Speed and Pressure can beat Speed
