he won a 12 round UD over Thai fighter [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
i watched the fight last night, and if that Thai fulla had either had a higher work rate or more punchin power Crampton coulda been in a bit of trouble.... The Thai fulla stopped Cramptons punches from landing a good amount of times and probly only really lost the fight due to not workin enough... Crampton was easily the bigger puncher but the Thai didnt seem to be hurt at any stage and when he was working he landed several of his own good punches... anyways a good first 12 rounder for Ben but it wasnt as easy for him as what most of the hometown crowd woulda have said it was. Also why the fuck is Allan luxford still fighting 6 rounders?? |

Disappointing to hear that Crampton couldnt stop the Thai Suwannalert, as he had been stopped on many occasions with some of our better boxers.
Lets hope Crampton can get a good test for himself now. Allan Luxford's career has stagnated no doubt. Its time he pushes himself, otherwise his career is going to fall to the side. Recently his choice of opponents has been rather poor, considering how many boxers are out there at Lightweight. Kickett, Lenny Zapp etc. would all have trouble with Luxford's power. |

With the style Ben fights and his physical attributes I dont think it matters he didnt stop Swannie. Back in the day Swannie was in with some pretty decent guys and could certainly soak it up.
But its very worrying if Crampton wasnt dominate against a guy like this, at this stage he should be. |

All the best to him against Zuniga, should be a good test. If Oganov wins impressively i expect him to step it up & fight a top 10 guy, as he has Gary Shaw backing him now. Young Leroy Brown is coming along well, but again he is so young there is no need to throw him in the deep end just yet. Looks a like an Aussie middleweight contender for many years to come. |
