Default Re: Bernard Dunne v Kiko Martinez-European S.Bantam title , live stream today/tonight

saw it on youtube the next day!
Oh well that s 4-5 years following his career that Ill never get back!

Never thought he was up to the level of Vasquez or Marquez but thought I might be able to grab an abc belt. Dont think so now. All of the top guys in his division can bang!

If I was Dunne at this stage I would cash in all my chips and go for an immediate rematch to "proove" that the fight was a fluke. Of course I doubt that will happen the way boxing works now a days.

Anyways I have enjoyed following his career very much and thank him for that and wish him luck in whatever he decides to do Ill follow closely.

so what did he say to the crowd after the fight?

Just saw it myself. Instead of lamenting Dunne, why aren't we getting excited about the speed and power of Martinez?

He's too sloppy for my tastes.

Oh yeah, he's raw as hell from the minute and a half we got to see, but he's 21 and has only had what, one fight outside of Spain? Let him hook up with a veteran American trainer to at least show him how to ham and egg properly, and leave the rest to his physical tools. Maybe ten fights from now I could see him being in some interesting matchups.
