The difference I see here though, is that Hatton would engage Cotto, its his fight style, and thats why I think Cotto eventually finishes him sooner than Zab (a southpaw who uses footwork and distance moreso than Hatton).

Good points, finally someone elaborating on their reasoning behind their predictions . I think it was the southpaw stance that bothered Hatton as well.

I do think Cotto would win the fight at 147 pounds, but I do think it'd be competitive. I'd see this sort of like Cotto's fight with Abdulaev,with Cotto countering effectively off of the ropes with his shorter more effective punches.

but Hatton being 10 x more competitive than Abdulaev and actually winning rounds.

hatton should move up and fight cotto then instead of running his mouth about fights with guys who aren't even in his division... FLoyd, cotto are all fighting with the big boys hatton can stay fighting with the smaller guys
