Most of the guys mentioned here are not journeymen. The best journeyman heavyweights were guys like Jim Battling Johnson or Bert Whitehurst. These fighters fought many ranked opponents. They almost never rolled over easy. Sometimes they pulled off upsets or made fights close. Check their records and you'll see. They earned their money.

In modern times, good heavyweight journeyman are all but extinct. Why fight 60 times and make next to nothing when you can land a construction or lower level job that pays the same or more. Ross Purrity and Marion Wilson are good examples of modern day journeyman.

C'mon,what did they achieve? They fought journeymen,beat journeymen and were beaten by journeymen.
Sometimes they were lucky and got a title shot or beat a HOFer,that's all.
