Default Which ATG lightweights would Hearns blow out?

No one expected him to beat Duran so easily in just two one-sided rounds. Admittedly, Duran wasn't exactly at his peak, but he did come of impressive wins over Moore, Cueves and an excellent performance against one of the greatest middleweights ever, Hagler.

So what other great lightweights do you think he'd do that to?

I'm not talking about who he can beat, but i really mean destroying them in a few rounds like he did Duran.

Probably Henry Armstrong, Ray Mancini, and other swarming LW's.

Hearns against any Lightweight is a no brainer imo. He crushes them all.

I would tend to agree with this.

On a related matter, which LW would you consider to have a better chin that Duran?

That might help us answer the question, as sometime in the first couple of rounds a Hearns right hand is likely to land, no matter how elusive the opponent.

The question is which wouldn't he blow out and which stand a chance of beating him. At 147 against the younger Hearns Duran, Mayweather and Whitaker stand a chance against him.

If we consider young Sam Langford to be a lightweight, he beats Hearns handily.

Although they would match up badly with him I would certainly give a few of them a punchers chance.

Possibly Whitaker or Mayweather. I was more thinking of sombody with a good all round ofensive package and a big punch like Joe Gans.

I really don't see any ATG lightweight beating Thomas Hearns

I would not expect Gans to win but he would certainly have the pop to put the lights out on Hearns if he could engineer to land his sunday best.
