Default How do they measure fist size?

I always thought it was length from end thumb to end of little finger. But alot of the timethe fighters listed size doesnt seem possible in comparison to those from higher weight classes. And one time i saw them putting a tape measure wrapped around Tyson's fist. Is this how they measure it? any one know?

i don't know about the question really. but to answer the reason y they might be putting a tape measurer around Tyson's fist, is possibly because to make sure he wasn't putting too much wrap around it which was giving him the extra power.
