Diaz was winning rounds solely on workrate most of those shots had no pop (the ones that hurt Marquez were the ones Diaz had to lunge in the air with ala Frazier), but Marquez was for obvious reasons working on something more than a decision win. You are in for a huge shock when Marquez is able to time Mayweather's jab to the body and counter him coming in. Judah was able to do it and Marquez will definitely be able to do it better. Once Mayweather stops putting on the pressure because of the success of Marquez's countering and goes on the defensive with the shoulder rolling BS, Marquez will either be KO'd or win a SD based on work ethic. Expect Mayweather to be bleeding for the first time as well...he's 32 now |

Shoulder rolling BS.
Some of Floyds best stoppages and punches have come off of catching fighters fists on his shoulders, then countering with an upper cut. Lets hope that Marquez respects Floyds BS more then you do. Or else its gonna be a long night. Quote:

I've got a somewhat strange opinion about all of this. I believe that the Technical skills of both fighters are somewhat equal, perhaps I'd give a slight advantage for PBF. The way I see it, tho, is that Mayweather is just more inclined to fight defensively, while JMM is the more aggressive puncher of the two.
I'd give the physical advantages in PBF's favor too, what w/ his obvious edges in Size, reach, speed, and strength. Marquez IS getting up there in age. But I'd never count JMM out till the bell rings. GOD I wish PBF would fight some legit welters. That'd give him more credibility, win or lose. |

Pac said . . . "I think" . . . he didn't proclaim it as fact
I actually found contradiction in that statement . . . how can anybody say that a slower fighter is a better boxer and counter puncher than the faster one? . . . considering JMM and PBF are both accurate punchers. Just my thoughts.

Pacquiao is right about the speed. Marquez isn't as quick as he once was, that's to begin with. I haven't liked how his 'facilities' have looked going back to the Barrera fight or earlier. People aren't talking about it, and Juan Manuel's last two fights have done a good job of covering the perception, but Marquez is already on the fade, and has been for minute, IMCV. Mayweather will be faster, harder hitting, bigger, stronger, better defended, more dynamic, and everything that will go along with all of it. This is going to make fighting Chris John in Indonesia for $30 look like a good idea.

I kind of agree. IMO JMM is faster on the counter punching and throws the better combinations. Floyd has better defense and is faster...and a lot bigger in this case too.

I expect JMM to give PBF a very hard fight although i'll wait till i see the training camps to make my final decision. Pac is pretty much spot on.

Pac's opinion is based solely on his real fights with marquez and watching vids of mayweather(although i doubt it he watched a lot of floyd's vid).
When he's on the ring with floyd im pretty sure he would change that opinion of his. Floyd is just the better boxer in any weight class |
