Lewis was a big man 250 plus. Not too many heavyweights even throw an uppercut, but his was effective. Razor Ruddock had one of the best uppercuts for a heavy and almost used it exclusively with a shitty pawing jab and nothing else.

Riddick Bowe also had a great uppercut.
Foreman and Shavers threw uppercuts with the most power in my opinion. Jack Johnson could throw uppercuts from the clinch like no one else I've ever seen. |

I agree Lewis was blatantly fouling the way he did it sometimes. Watch the Bruno fight its a joke. He should have been DQ'd for it, as it ended the fight. |

Lennox Lewis certainly perfected that holding-and-hitting uppercut of his. He destroyed Michael Grant with those foul punches. Lennox The Lion was a mean motherf*cker. Loved the rough stuff.

I think Tyson had the best uppercuts, fast, compact, extremely powerful, and he could drop you with both his left and right uppercut.
Lennox had a very powerful uppercut too, but he would sometimes load up on it from a distance, and that can be pretty dangerous. Earnie Shavers's right uppercut was fantastic, his KO's over Jimmy Ellis and Ken Norton was the cause of the right uppercut. |
