Barrera generally had a certain amount of trouble dealing with guys with quick hands. In some cases, like Hamed, he could use better solid fundamentals to trip them up. In others, like Jones and Pacquiao, he couldn't quite do that. (Even if I personally think Barrera has an argument for winning the second Jones fight. Of course, it was years ago when I saw it and I was rooting for Barrera, so that may have affected me).

I'm not sure Barrera ever manages to handle the speed and force Pacquiao brings. At his peak and with sufficient planning, he can certainly make a better fight of it, but I think I'd still make Pacquiao the favorite.
