He reminds me a little bit of Roman Karmazin his prime.Like Karmazin he just cant get any big fights and opportunities to earn some good bucks.
Khan didnt want to fight Romanov, and De la Hoya pulled out of a scheduled fight with Karmazin. |

I thought it was against someone high up on the IBF rankings could be wrong though. Who ever is handling him is doing a terrible job thats all i can say. Hope to see him soon anyway seemed a very good operator

Shame on me!
He will square off against a certain Fernando Angulo(22-5) on the undercard of Campell vs Bradley, august the 1st. They will fight for the vacant IBF title according to the news.

Very odd fight. The IBF are usually very strict on who fights for the belt but this is really bad match making. I want Yuri to get the title but this is a joke fight.
Romanov has been out for over a year while Angulo lost his last fight and came in over weight for the one before that. Maybe the best they could come up with on short notice? |

Ring Magazine have dropped Romanov from their top 10 LW rankings because he hasn't fought for a while and has nothing lined up, yet the Angulo fight was announced a few days ago
