Check the power punches punchstat numbers hatton landed 254-threw 637 40% and collazo landed 167-threw 471 35%,but the final punchstat numbers showed hatton landing 259-throwing 741 35% and collazo landing 213-throwing 712 30%,i actually scored the fight 6-5-1 in hattons favor.

I thought it was a very close fight, could have went either way.
I didn't score it exactly like that, but I scored it a draw too.

Let's not forget this was a title fight, and Hatton's first fight at the weight. No soft warm up fights, straight in against a decent, tough opponent.
He wasn't "out on his feet" at the end, just very tired. I don't think people want to give Hatton any credit in that fight, but then what's new?

It all depends on if you give Collazo a 10-8 for the last round or not (which you could do, Hatton hit the deck and was out on his feet). 2,3 and 11 could have gone either way
no way does collazo win the 7th.

We tend to score all the close ones the same.

Whatarock: Do you really feel the 11th could have gone either way with Ricky out on his feet?

When you consider that Ricky had two prior opponents sheduled at JR Welter then had a last minute Switch to Full Welter, which caused a crash weight/strenght adjustment programme, Against the talented and underrated Collazo, a southpaw, and with the backdrop of Legal proceedings with Frank ****** ongoing, its a wonder Ricky pulled out the Win !

This Time the fitness/weight programme will be much more natural

I thought he did his work was so much cleaner and Hatton was pretty ineffective, Im not being biased, if I was I would have given 2 and 11 to Collazo

I think in Hattons case that was what swayed the closer rounds in his favor
Why would you say that when Hatton was the one staggering and stunned in many rounds and was clearly grabbing on for dear life in the 12th?

Hatton made it close with his workrate, but he shoulda still lost the fight. The punk cowards behind boxing gave the title to Hatton because of hype. $$$ incentive. Just like DLH-STURM, they didn't want to put a hamper on th e HOPKINS- DLH estravaganza

I had Hatton winning 114-113. That first round quick KD really helped him.
