Thanks for pointing that out. People always make note of his "slow" handspeed, but I don't think it's particularly that slow - just not super fast. He delivers single shots very fast, and more importantly, with precision. Chavez was such a good puncher in combination because of his accuracy, not because of any above average handspeed he possessed. Same thing with Arguello, I feel. The Costello knockdown was vicious. Alexis wasn't the same fighter he was, but he still had that right hand.

His timing, accuracy, and technique made up for his lack of natural speed. That last gif where Pryor's head snaps back is just as amazing for the fact that Pryor was able to take it so well.

Technically alexis rght hands (actually pretty much every punch actually) are perfect. Its a beautiful to watch how he times them and then throws them as straight and true as he did.

Those rights landed on Pryor were textbook knockout punches, I actually think Im more in awe of Pryor`s ability to take them than the beauty in which Alexis delivers them.... & thats saying something.
