Default Taylor vs Pavlik fight of the year candidate?

what do you think, I thought it was a great and excitting fight, I thought for sure Pavlik was toast after the second round but he is a true warrior. I also think Taylor should have taken a knee when he was getting beaten instead of taking all those shots but I dont know that would have changed anything. Anyways with the comback vicotry and overall great ring action in this fight is it worthy as a candidate for fight of the year?

Definetely FOTY candidate. Anyone who says otherwise is probably just a sore loser who bet on Taylor.

He should have, in retrospect, but I'd suspect that actually thinking to do that when being bombarded with head shots is not the first thing on your mind. There's a lot of situations where fighters might have been able to save themselves had they taken the knee, but most don't. Basically I think it's a lot easier said than done.

I don't think so. Vazquez-R Marquez 2 is #1. I'd even put Mormeck-Bell 2 over it as well.

Is it top 10? Was it an important fight? Sure, but, I don't think it is FOTY.

Judah/Cotto
I dont think that fight was better by any stretch. Cotto basically won via groin shots.

Absolutely. This fight had everything: sagnificance, entertainment value, drama, questions that had been answered about both fighter and more. Actualy it was one of the best cards HBO had put together this year.

No way. Briggs vs. Ibragimov fight of the year.

Izzy-Rafa gets my vote but it was one of the top fights of the year - props to HBO for not putting it on PPV.
