Well, we can only hope. I want to see Pavlik v Abraham. I could'nt give a fuck if it's held in the depths of Africa, just so long as the two fight each other. |

But I'm afraid we'll see Pavlik-Mora and Pavlik-Bornard instead. |

I think Pavlik-Abraham will be a strong possiblity after he faces down Taylor (rematch) and Duddy (a local fighter to solidify his popularity in the States). But if Pavlik beats Abraham, Sturm will never face him. His only hope would be for someone else to beat Sturm and for him to take the belt from that guy.

They said last night that Kelly would fight somebody(?) sometime in either Feb. or Mar. Who, depends on Taylor's team. If not Taylor, probably will end up fighting a tuneup fight, like a Mora.

This needed posted:
Published:Thursday, October 4, 2007 The new middleweight champion of the world celebrated by buying some tires for his car. His trainer got up early as usual to spread asphalt on a few driveways. And the people of Youngstown, Ohio, enjoyed a double dose of good news for a town that rarely has any. One day General Motors announces it will build a new car at the nearby Lordstown plant, ensuring the economic future of the hard-scrabble area for at least a few more years. The next, Kelly Pavlik shocks everyone but himself and his pavement-laying trainer by knocking out Jermain Taylor to win the 160-pound title. “It was almost like someone was writing a script,” trainer Jack Loew said. If they were, Hollywood would be buying. Inspiration sells, and there’s something nicely uplifting about a blue collar fighter and his blue collar town both making it big. |

btw, Arum stated in the post presser, that he has no problems making a fight with AA down the road if Abraham won't demand a 50-50 split - hell, even 70-30 in favour of Pavlik would make Abraham earn double the money for his highest purse as of today (around $650k)...given that Kelly would earn around $3 million for it... |

Abraham vs Pavlik would be a hell of a fight, both got balls of steel and so determined. This has fireworks written all over it. It's easily the hardest fight for Pavlik who i think will eventually win v.close ud.

Pavlik does not need to unify because, in my eyes, he has the undisputed title. He is already unified. Look at the other belt holders, they fought and continue to fight nobodies. The belts mean shit.

I think he really wants to fight Abraham. But, he has a somewhat smallish chance of losing to Taylor, and a small chance of losing to Abraham, so he may not have the titles.
