Combined with the way he looked and fought, Kallie Knoetze's mustache reminded me of the horns on a Cape buffalo. (Harold Volbrecht also had an excellent mustache.)

Well it would have to be Coetzee, as you would think that without the mustache, he would have never beaten Michael Dokes and won the WBA HW title

Coetzer. It wasn't that he had a good beard: it was a good MUSTACHE that accounted for his toughness in the ring. Hence the prima facie truth "Coetzer had good whiskers". You could KO the other boxers, but Coetzer would just take punishment until he got bored. Bowe, Bruno and Foreman all laid their best bombs on him and he just got more mustacheod.
