They've fucked up this series which is a shame because it had the best standard of boxers in it

I would of preffered to have seen the 4th and 5th boxers fight to go through .
They couldn't put all 16 through as some weighed too much(Santiago first came in at 197lbs) and some were dreadfully out of shape(Rubin Williams) .

Paul suffered a cut anyway which rendered him unable to fight so it wouldn't of mattered if it was structured differently .

Well done Smigga anyway , exposure in America , a win over a good opponent and plenty of experience gained will all surely help you in the future .

At the end of the day he's had the exposure and is still undefeated.

There is no reason to yell. Try to press Caps Lock.

Regarding the content of your post, I can only say that I disagree, I don't think Smith will handle the punches from the stronger 168'ers that well just look at how Banks quickly seemed to gain his respect, and Banks is definately not a KO-puncher at 168. I still think he is best of at 160. And before somebody starts claiming that there is no real difference in strength between 160 and 168, I'll just say, look at how Soliman did at top level at 160 and then compare it to how he got butchered at top level at 168.

I totally agree, but we all knew that only four guys would advance this season. They should have kept all 16 guys to begin with except maybe Santiago who weighed 198 pounds if I recall correctly.

I didn't say that he hurt him, I said that he gained his respect, meaning that Smith felt it and became more cautious. Just face it Smith is not a natural SMW, there is a(nother) reason why there are different weight classes (beside giving the sanctioning bodies more title fights and thereby more money ).

I think Banks was proper fast early and needed slowing down. Someone like Smith (an attritional fighter) wants someone like Banks over 10 rounds so he can keep wearing him down.
