Yea, Randy is known to run from challenges. If you haven't noticed, Randy will fight anyone, and is actually one of the fighters who actually WANTS to fight the best.

Also... this isn't boxing. Randy Couture doesn't pick anyone, and doesn't have the authority to NOT give someone a title shot. The UFC makes the fights, and there is no way in hell that they wouldn't have given Fedor a title shot. Why do you think they were offering him all of that money? A title fight with him vs Couture would have been HUGE.

Really though... this is a let down, and Fedor can no longer be considered the #1 Heavyweight in the world. I am a huge Fedor fan... but you can't be in an organization with no talent and claim to be the best. Especially considering what has happened to the other supposedly "superior" Pride fighters since entering the UFC. This sport evolves too fast to rest on things done in the years past... you are either with the times, or you get passed up.

Good point. And I agree, he should no longer be considered #1. His last fight was agaisnt a friggn middleweight. I'm not taking anything away from Fedor, but he has deprived the fans on this one.

Total joke. Even if it's not a shady deal, this should end the "FEDOR #1 P4P" and even the "FEDOR #1 MMA HW" garbage.

If he isn't gonna fight anyone good, then he isn't the best. Simple as that. On top of that, ALOT of people aren't convinced he would beat Couture anyways, and when you add in that the VAST majority of Pride fighters entering UFC are getting flat-out handled....the Fedor gravy train may be grinding to a halt here

As far as I'm concerned, Couture #1 MMA HW! Until, possibly, someone dethrones him.
