Also I don't want the UFC to crumble, since I enjoy watching it. But I would love to see some tight competition again and see Dana White put his own foot in his mouth. Hopefully this is one little step on the way toward a healthy, competitive MMA world. MMA was at it's best when both the UFC and Pride were in their heyday. |

"a healthy competative MMA world" you mean where we don't get to see the best fighting the best and no unified titles. All that means is more diluded fight cards, if all the best are in one basket then it shouldn't be any better then that. And then again looking at the 78 card it's still not too impressive.

Well, this is out of left fucking field. I'd prefer Randy vs Fedor was in the UFC to be honest as rings=the suck for mma, and I don't want to watch it at 6 in the morning on sunday, but as long as it gets made I will be happy.
As for the fight, Randy is still under contract for 9 months, so it won't be before that, which will make Randy 45 most likely by the time of the fight. As for M-1, I'd be very surprised if it was anybody other than Bodog who has done business with M1 before, or EliteXC, who has moved clearly into second place in the world for every weightclass north of 155/160. It really sounds like Randy is very pissed off. |

Interesting.
Couture probably feels that, since he has already decimated Sylvia and Gonzaga, he has nothing to gain by staying in the UFC. I kind of see his point...he really only has things to lose at this stage in his career, and with Liddell looking like total shit + possibly retiring, avenging his two most important losses are out of the question. That leaves Fedor...could he be chasing Fedor? I doubt it - Couture comes off, at least to me, as a very mature guy, not one that would play cat-and-mouse with a guy who clearly has been avoiding HIM lately. Add in the fact that Couture appears PISSED at the UFC/Dana White, and this looks legit. |

i remember the time when hogan jumped to wcw. it started the monday night wars and brought the pro wrestling business to all time highs. i hope something like that happens with mma. many thought that ufc buying pridefc would be nice for the sport, clearly it wasnt. i hope someone competes with ufc and getting couture to sign with them will be a great start.

So rumors are heating up that another organization was behind Randy's resignation, in particular this new organization that is being created with Fedor at the helm.
