Johnson might well have become aware of Charles Spenser Chaplin as an up-and-comer by 1914 or 1915. I think The Tramp wasn't quite matured enough to take the title from Jack at that point. I think Johnson avoids any rematchs with Charlie; succesfully defends against Roscoe Arbunkle when Fatty is DQ'd for a low blow that ruptures Johnson's bladder; is decisioned by Harold Lloyd (the only Heavyweight Champion to box wearing spectacles); sees his days as a first-tier heavyweight ended by the whirlwind attack of 'Buster' Keaton (named for his 'Buster' over-hand right); and becomes persona non grata in the boxing world for recieving a bribe in connection to refereeing the Hardy-Laurel rubber match (Johnson immediately broke up all attempts at infighting, enabling Mercurial Stan to stick'n'move against Orotund Oliver all night long).
