JMM-Pacquiao I - just to witness that amazing comeback by JMM. I'd go from despair as JMM is knocked down three times in the first round, to jubilation as JMM boxes Pacquiao's socks off for the rest of the fight. Then finally shout obscenities at the judges as they anounce the scorecards. The ultimate show of heart by JMM! Would be a hectic night!!

Whilst I was at the Froch/Dirrell fight, I kind of zoned out midway through the action, wondering what it must have been like for spectators to have witnessed Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera go hammer and tong in their primes for 12 rounds. It almost sounds like some make believe story I just made up now for the benefit of this thread, but it's true. It was my second fight live ,and I was much closer to the ring than when I was in Manchester, and it was magical, irrespective of how good or exciting the fight was. It felt really personal. Everyone just there to watch two people in the ring, and that night in the Mandalay Bay in 2000's Fight of the Year, both Erik and Marco demanded universal attention.
The apex of the best sport in the world really. |

Would loved to have been there for Hopkins-Tito and Hopkins-Pavlik. Simply because not only is B-Hop my favourite boxer, but he was an underdog going into these fights (I had backed him to win), and he turned out two of his best performances in awesome displays of boxing. Would have loved to have been there live in the flesh.
Domestically, Ayers-Rigby and Oliver-Mullings. Two of my favourite domestic boxers (Ayers & Oliver) in what was probably their most thrilling fights. |
