Ali v Foreman
Hagler v Hearns Duran v Leonard I Hatton v Tszyu Benn v Barkley Hard to pick one from the above, probably Hagler Hearns. No, change that, defintely the Rumble in the Jungle. That place must have gone crazy when Ali laid him out. |

I wouldn't rule out Hearns outboxing Hagler though for an extended spell, he did it to Leonard twice and was unfortunate in both fights not to end up the winner. |

hagler vs leonard - sounded great that night. loved the moment in the 12th rd where ray's got the crowd on his side.
bowe-holy 2 - preferably just across from where fanman lands so i avoid the melee that followed.

Now edited. Agree too, I'm not a massive Leonard fan either. Obviously appreciate how good he was, but he strikes me as almost the Mayweather of that generation. Que the tirade from SRL fans to follow... |

The whole world was in agreement that Hearns was the only man that stood more than a great chance to beat Hagler & just going by the obvious comparison to their Duran fights. I expected Hagler to be just Hagler & mosly counter & Hearns holding centre ring or circle snapping out the jab & it was a global 50/50 split with plenty saying Hearns by blast-out or wide UD & the Hagler side winning by TKO from the 9th onwards if they could slowly break Tommy down. But when the 1st bell rang absolute fuckin pandamonium in the guildhall, 3+ thousand in there, i'll never forget the noise, mayhem/shock/disbelief at what we saw in that 1st round, Hagler stunned all of us, never mind Tommy & that right hand that Hearns detonated on Haglers forehead would have laid any other fighter spark out, Hagler just would not be denied that night, unbelievable!Hearns got even more fans after that night as well, incredible, i'am more of a Hearns fan than Haglers, just something chilling about him, he really had the most awesome staredown going & "Motor City Cobra" was always my fav handle for him. I'll not even mention the 2 round blowout of Roberto, just a blip that was |
