I think i read somewhere that its illegal to hit the opponents hip bone, yet i cant remember where i read this rule and havent heard of it since, so is it a genuine rule used in boxing today?

Not really if you hit the top of the hip but anything lower is considered a low blow.
Anyway hitting someone in the hip does more damage to you than them. |

I hated having to wear ma shorts over ma navel, or on it, i was 6ft 2 and 60 kg and in general ma trousers were worn on ma hips/bones.
1. It was uncomfy/foreign to me 2. Basically felt like a fud Always pushed/pulled em down On topic, i wouldnt say it was illegal, thought the 2-3 cms the waistband can ride up or down your waist could be the difference, ref dependant. |

It's also rather low, meaning you'd have to go low yourself or be open for a counter. If you feel a fist connecting to the hip, throw a punch with that side. It'll likely connect (how Mayweather counters liver shots for example, the moment a punch connects to your elbow throw a short right hand or an uppercut). |
