El Maachi is a great story and nothing more. He has decent power but he is so flawed. Said it several times and will say it again. Whilst training himself shows extrodinary dedication it wasn't the greatest of ideas. He is so sloppy and his defense is pretty woeful too. The bad habits he has seem deeply ingrained and he will find them very hard to get rid of at his age/point of career. Hall is being written off here because of one bad defeat against Small.

If Hall would have used his head instead of his heart and had been fighting his fight against Small instead of seemingly letting the gob****e get to him I have no doubts that the fight could have turned out completely different. Having Brian Hughes in his corner won't have helped either
Of course Hall should be the favourite, but El Maachi has a chance of stopping him IMO.

Yeah agree with that. After all he ain't no Magic Man and people can get stopped in the sport by the most unlikely opponent, but i'd still heavily favour Hall to beat him

You may be totally correct. We would see on the night. I have great respect for Matthew Hall. It would be a great fight. As I say Matthew Hall can have the fight if he wants it.

Gotta respect El Maachi though. Seems a really nice lad and i'll also respect the effort he's put into training himself and that.

You got a free tickets I'm working in MK I think on that weekend

I think El Maachi could beat him, thats coming form a pretty neutral standpoint. I like both lads. Unless Arnie has done some great work in the mind of Hall then I think that El Maachi could beat him quite convincingly.

El Maachi would have walked Prize fighter the other night, what a shambles.

Didn't you train him, and therefore surely befriend him

Totally agree.

To me he looks very good, but I did catch him smoking at the previous Prizefighter and he needs to pack that **** up!

He's a really nice bloke with a great story. ?This year needs to be the year he gets some fights though.

Hall would be a good start but eventually I think he needs to get in with Small. When ever Small gets drawn on this he just talks about how they got him in as a sparring partner and he isn't in his class!

Perhaps McDonagh would be a way of stepping up to small.

However it happens it needs to happen this year.

Train him? Lol.... Definately not, i've cornered him a few times. I've also met Mathew Hall a few times over the years and sparred with him... Nice kid and a very decent boxer. From a purely boxing stand point though El Maachi is the better fighter.

i think el macchi would walk straight onto the technally better punches of mathew hall, after all imo hall punches every bit as hard as el macchi and has boxed at a much higher level.

I heard they're offering 15k to beat El Maachi and 500 if you lose or 2k flat. Who is gonna take that?
