How anybody can not be at least intriuged if not outright excited for this fight is beyond my comprehension. I think the two losses in a row each will make the two even more focused and determined.

As for career implications, I don't think this is a make or break fight for Wanderlei, his two losses are much less known in the wider mainstream fanbase, and one of them was to a heavyweight; Wand can recover from this loss much more easily than Chuck can. Chuck is not quite in a must win situation, but he is close, this is definately a crossroads for him.

I still think Chuck will KO Wand.

I've been saying this for years, but the sheep won't listen to the shepard:

ahem, the ufc is EXACTLY like boxing, and in fact it's worse to a degree because they also use a heavy dose of pro wrestling style promotion.

you have a product with a limited talent pool where they have to 'build' stars, ie put them in favorable matchups and hope they win several in a row, thus building a fan base where they can then give them higher billing on ppv hoping it will draw more fans and money. setups and outright dives might be going far, but to suggest that every ufc fight is an even matchup would be incorrect, but due to the nature of the sport the best laid plans of mice and men (and dana white, who doesn't qualify as either) go awry constantly the last couple of years.

don't tell the MMA fans on sherdog that. They'll bite your head off.

Is this a bit of a Tito v Jones? Two great fighters but no one thinks they are the same anymore. Once upon a time the fight was amazingly hyped but is way too late.
