Mike Hunter is the one to look out for, not Wilson.

Mike Wilson is very good. He was an alternate on the 2004 team and on this 2008 team. He's not huge, he's like 6'4 and 210; in the first round at this years Nationals he fought and easily outclassed the Super Heavy from my region who was 6'6 and 360! pounds. He kept coming forward with his hands up with an impenetrable defense, so Mike did a good job moving around and picking his shots, using good angles and speed for a guy his size to rack up the 20-point outclass stoppage at the end of round 1. I think there's a decent chance he may turn pro after having missed this Olympic team in some very close fights with Mike Hunter.

Wislon's main problem is he doesn't have a lot of power to get the respect of the best talents, and isn't quite fast or slick enough to avoid the incomming of the more talented fighters. His skills are decent, but he isn't going to blow anyone away with power shots or blinding speed. I saw Italy's Roberto Cammarelle walk right though Wilson and RSCO him in short order in the last world amatuer games.

Wilson is one of those guys that lacks a dominate part in his game. If Wilson goes pro, he won't make it into the top ten.

I dunno. Maybe its because Wilson looks like a bald Dutchman?
