I wouldnt say Macklin will leave Hatton Promotions. I think with Macklin now based in the US and on the verge of a world title fight he needs to look at getting on tv in the US. So for him to talk to American promotors is the right thing. I think Hatton Promotions will have the UK Rights to any of his fights in the US and when he fights in the UK it will be under the Hatton Promotions banner. I can see Macklin fighting either Duddy or Lee on his US debut as both are know in the US and a win will win over some new fans from the US.
As for new fighters for Hatton Promotions I would love to see John Murrary get signed up there could be a number of decent fights made for him with Kevin Mitchell and even Amir Khan in the coming years. With no tv coverage of his fights Murrary needs a move asap. |

Macklin must be on a mission to work with every promoter and trainer in the game.
Think he's now on his 5th or 6th trainer in less than 30 fights, not sure about promoters. Hatton got him a European shot that he hadn't had to earn in his first fight with him, since then there's been pullouts galore and suddenly, he leaves. Not sure who is advising him, but they ought to be sacked immediately. |
