Honestly, I would love to spend a night out with James Toney going round a tough neighberhood and going into all the bars. Imagine Toney getting slagged for being fat him coming back with hilarious one liners and battering anyone who causes trouble

Never listen to a jockey tipping a horse, never listen to a fighter tipping another fighter yaddy yaddy ya.

In all seriousness Jones can win this fight because of Hopkins style. Hopkins isn't going to bombard him with punches. Both men are going to size each other up for large portions of each round. There wont be many combinations thrown. Hopkins will be tucked lowish, twist his body, feint and throw single shots. But Hopkins has gotta get in range to land and Jones still has the mind to get out of the damn way of single shots from Hopkins.

If Jones keeps flicking out that jab and counter the odd mistake from Hopkins he could very well win this. He needs to have a tighter defence as well. Because sometimes Hopkins sneaks in a wild but timed shot from an awkward stance that could catch Jones off balance.

I'm rooting for Jones anyway by points because after the Haye result, RJJ could make me 200 richer.

Honestly, Hopkins wasn't looking too sharp last time out, despite winning. It's going to be 10 cagey, boring rounds, with Roy taking the early ones and Hopkins taking the middle rounds. After that it's a countdown to Jones running out the clock for a dull SD loss or getting stopped on his feet.

I think Hopkins can TKO him in the later rounds.

Mainly because I've felt Jones has been fragile for years and years now, and only some smoke & mirrors got anyone thinking he was actually 'back'.

A boring UD would be the most suitable result for this fight though. A cynical exercise in blatent money-grabbing, serving up a godawful glorified sparring session.

I'm waiting for the bout to start so I'll post on pretty much anything at the mo. I pick Hopkins by KO or a huge points decision, not that it should be surprising. Hopkins has aged so well that he's probably in his prime in terms of physical condition and experience, at least he was maybe 1-2 years ago which is still a big advantage against Roy. Jones was shot a long time ago and Hopkins REALLY wants to murder him, it won't be a pretty sight. No reflection on Jones' legacy though, I would place him above Hopkins and most others in term of his standing. He's probably the 2nd best example of what boxers pride can do to a man, after Ali of course.
