You are right, I am sorry. I wish I were half as witty, gracious and cool as your Carl.

Toffeejack = Joe Calzaghe

Personally I worry for Carl Froch because he takes too many hard punches (against Pascal, Taylor, Kessler). Froch is surely damaged goods now, and Arthur Abraham might end his career.

Kessler is damaged goods too (especially after his war with Froch). He'll probably beat Allen Green but Abraham and Dirrell will beat him.

Abraham - Ward in the final for sure.

At least we know what excuse he'll have lined up.

Knowing him, he'll probably up his attacks on Calzaghe.

Usually when the bubble bursts the fighter has back-to-back defeats: think Barrera, Toney, Mosley for example. However like those 3, if he's really in love with boxing he'll stick with it and re-emerge later once he's come to terms with it get a chance as a big underdog against someone seemingly formidable and pull out a great win.

I doubt it will happen in August. I think it will be at least a month or two later.

I know that is the proposed date.

He'll come back more determined. Hopefully he'll identify some areas for improvement. I'd like to see him start quicker, keep his hands up more and utilise more body work against his opponents.

I think he'll be okay but its more a question of how he comes back from yet ANOTHER really tough gruelling fight. There comes a point where you can't keep going to the well.

I expect he'll be fine with it once he's had a week or so to get his head together. It wasn't a really damaging loss in my view, it was a tough close fight and he just didn't do quite enough. He took some good shots, but it wasn't a beating.

I'm an optimist... I think he'll learn a few lessons from last night and come back later in the year the better for it.

I have often wondered how Rocky Marciano would have dealt with a defeat.

Obviously it never happened, but what if?

I think he's been found out and in his heart of hearts he'll know he's not very good.

He will come back though i think he did struggle to come up for a reason for his defeat and ultimately it was because they are fairly evenly matched and he came out worse on the night imo im pretty sure if they fought 10 times the result would be different each time.
