After another top weekend of boxing (i can't remember a run of big fights for as many consecutive weekends as we've been treated to since Pac-Clottey in the middle of March) attention now turns to this coming weekend.
After contesting, IMO, THE best trilogy of all time, certainly the best trilogy of my lifetime, Israel Vasquez (44-4-0, 32KO's) and Rafael Marquez (38-5-0, 34KO's) are going to war for the 4th time this Saturday night at the Staples Centre, Los Angleles ![]() How does the British Forum see this one going? Personally, it would be foolish to expect this to live up to any of their previous 3 epic battles, the punishment both men have taken to get to this point is nothing short of extraordinary, although it really wouldn't surprise me if they outdone themselves one last time. These 2 warriors certainly owe us boxing fans nothing, and i am delighted that they are fighting once again, if only because they deserve a big, big payday for what they've given us these last few years. Hopefully its another great fight, but most importantly a fight both legends walk away from with their health intact. Also Yonnhy Perez v Abner Mares on the undercard for the IBF Bantamweight Title, someone's '0' has got to go ![]() Should be another great night |
