2 definate atg`s, super tough pressure body attackers of the highest caliber & could box a bit aswell.
Duran was 1 of the best ever at the 135 lb limit where as JC only had a few but probably had his peak performance vs rosario at this weight. Remember, this is primes AT THIS WEIGHT so it would probably be the duran who beat dejesus vs the chavez who beat rosario. Get voting, you have 2 days & as usual, I`ll get my bit in later. |

The only reason I lean towards Duran is because I feel he has the bigger 1 punch ko power.
Both men were 2 of the best ever at slowly breaking an opponent to body & head but roberto had that big 1 punch although I dont ever see prime chavez being floored never mind ko`d but what that power would do is keep jcc respectfull enough so that duran could fight his own fight & make chavez wary of doing likewise. I feel duran was naturally bigger aswell & Id go for a pts win for duran but never ever count prime chavez out vs anybody in history as he to is a top 10 atg imo. |

I would go with Roberto Duran by clear UD
Duran was the more versatile fighter - better on the outside, better defense, better technically and more fluid on the inside. Chavez would hang tough and get some brutal body punches in, but Duran would have won. |

Seems everyone picks duran but jcc still managed 5 votes, where are those guys ?
Chavez has as good a chance as any to beat a lwt duran at that sort of game (pure war) but I go with roberto by decision. Great great fight, a fight for any millenium. |

Duran late TKO or UD.
He would be able to beat JCC by boxing him which he could do very well. He could and probably would brawl with him, making it a GREAT fight if it was every to have happened i think that Duran could take what JCC could throw at him and would throw enough punches from unusal angles 2 break him down late. |

Even tho duran lost to dejesus at lwt, it was a non-title fight & duran won both returns by ko.
Every time duran defended his lwt title, he won convincingly, in fact I think only edwin something, that puertorican guy went the distance & duran won clear. I think the natural size + the 1 punch power wins a decision for duran, cant see even the great lwt duran stopping chavez in his own prime, no way, nobody stops prime chavez, in fact roberto might be 1 of about 3 fighters in history who could manage this & we still dont know for sure. |

Duran, with his greater versatility, ferocity and the various tempo's he was capable of as well as his underrated defensive capabilities would have defeated Chavez by a decision over 15 rounds.

I have a feeling that Duran would feel he has something to prove against Chavez and try to brawl rather then box and brawl when the opening is there. And due to this I feel Chavez will win rounds and get a very close decision. Also I'm a bigger Chavez fan and 8 ppl have voted for him yet none have posted.
