This would be interesting match-up. I have an feeling that Gomez would destroy Virchis inside 5 rounds...
But why in the fuck WBC is making this... They have already a mandatory and they have also Vitali. There is no need for another mandatory challancher... The Federations just wanna make as much money as possible... it sucks. |

Virchis is no 50 year old oliver mcall!!!
this guy is huge, has an iron chin. and a monster of a punch. chagaev only won a close decision that could have gone either way over him. so you can stop that bullshit about gomez destroying him. maybe gomez can worry a decision out of him. but i doubt it!! i think virchis power will be far too much. he will ko gomez. early, mid rounds or late. but he will ko him. |

I hope Virchis wins by a big KO. This guys another exciting fighter that should be thrown in the HW mix. Think of the potential matches ahead. It would be awsome. HBO should be on this guy like white on rice.

Gomes is far from his prime. I saw his last two fights with McCall and Bekhatov and coudent to punch. He was very tired in the middle rounds, for that reasens Virchis will KO him .

I think Virchis has improved a bit since the Bidenko come from behind KO win. He seems to be a bit smarter in the ring. |

Virchis can be outboxed, Sprott showed us that but has he improved, can Gomez take his power, I saw Gomez get KO'd in 1 already but both men will be in top form for this one and it only takes a big one from Virchis but Gomez is a sothpaw and can box...should be a interesting one
