Default sore ribs....advice

Hi, I took a body shot last Friday during sparing and have either cracked or bruised a rib on my left side. Question is...should I keep training lightly, I tried to go for a run yesterday but it hurt to much, not sure what to do?

If it hurts, stop. Take some time off. You need to let it heal properly. For those types of injuries it can be anywhere from 1-6 weeks.

I'd definitely give it some time. I hurt my ribs in sparring and it took nearly three weeks for the pain to fully subside. Then I got hit there in my fight Nov. 8 and I'm still recovering.

Unfortunately, ribs can take a long time to heal.

Common sense prevails. If it hurts stop, if it doesn't, go on.

I had the same in jury last year and it forrrrrever to heal. Rest for sure. Does it hurt to breath deep or laugh? If it does then you may want to get an x-ray.
