as for the boys being popular they definitely don't have a fan base as such but people that see them fight recognize the talent

Why is Alexei Acosta called Alexei Collado on the official YouTube site of Brian Peters Boxing?
(edit: this Olivera guy might be the worst 20-1 fighter ever, if he's really Jorge Rodriguez Olivera. Either way, what a disgrace!) Last edited by BigBone; 10-10-2010 at 02:00 PM. |

In the cuban championship 2006 semifinals Yan Barthelemy beat Alexei Collado Acosta 29-7.
So i guess his name is Alexei Collado Acosta. Of the 11 winners only one is in Cuba today. 10 winners, 3 losing finalists and 2 bronsemedalists are now professional. |

Guillermo Rigondeaux looks like a star for sure based on his last fight. He looks like he is getting better with each fight. Oh, and he is not with Freddie Roach.

Lara most probably will become a champ in light middle. There are two others in the same division ,Yudel Jhonson and Inocente Fiz. Both have been amateur-stars winning bronze-medals in world championship. They both won that bronze in light welter. now they are in lightmiddle. Jhonson is 8-0, Fiz 3-0. Jhonsons age 29, Fiz 30. Anybody in this forum seen both fighters ?

Bright Japanese prospect, unbeaten 21-year-old WBC#7/WBA#9 light-flyweight Kazuto Ioka (6-0, 4 KOs) (left), 108, impressively acquired the vacant Japanese national 108-pound belt as he displayed a scientific way of fighting in hitting without getting hit, floored OPBF/JBC#1 Masayoshi Segawa (19-3, 8 KOs), a durable southpaw, in the third and was finally awarded a TKO win because of the latter’s bad gash caused by a legal shot at 1:57 of the tenth and final round on Sunday in Osaka, Japan. After his victory Ioka, now coached by Cuban trainer Ismael Salas, was congratulated by current WBA feather champ Yuriorkis Gamboa who visited Osaka to see another pupil of his entrenador Salas. Ioka is said to have an ambitious shot at the WBC light-fly throne against Omar Nino in this coming December. |
