I got this fight wrong, to be honest i don't really care........i don't really bothered with any weight below 140.
If JMM move's back up to 140 any of the big guns, would beat him down. |

Looking forward to seeing who both men fight next. JMM will hopefully get the Pacqiauo fight and Kat will hopefully be back over here to fight Murray.

JMM should get the Pacqiauo fight..? why..?
He got his ass handed to him, against Floyd Mayweather.........and Mayweather did'nt even get out of first gear. Floyd Mayweather beat him with three punches, the Jab, Hook, and straight right hand...... JMM has no place at 140/147...... |

Marquez old manned him out of the stoppage in the 3rd. That's the difference between say Mitchell and a genuine great like Marquez. He fought a great fight but ultimately lost to the better man, slightly different to the Casamayor fight that he ought to have won. Not sure where he goes from here to be honest. Tricky one

Katsidis's problem was that he was always in range. It was effective in the early rounds, great left hook to floor Marquez, but a fighter of the calibre of Marquez can learn to adapt.
It got to the point where Marquez was happy to stand at the ropes and wait for Katsidis to throw, just so he could punish him with counters. The last few rounds Marquez was landing hurtful shots to both the body and head, some beautiful combinations, and it was really having an effect on Katsidis. The finish was sheer punishment from Marquez and I thought Kenny Bayliss got it spot on. It was all about levels. Marquez is top class. Even more impressive considering his age. Does anyone know what his fighting weight was? I missed it. Pacquiao was 148 against Marg. I bet Marquez wasn't too far below that last night. They are still pretty much the same size. |

![]() Agree that it was all about levels, Kats would probably have beaten most other lightweights last night just not Marquez. Marquez's left hook to the body last night was sickening. And the counters were brilliant. JMM was 145 on the night btw ![]() Make the fight!!!!! |
