Default Re: Arslan the fittest boxer out there?

Arslan is an impressive worker, but not the best boxer in the division. Up to a certain level you can compensate talent with hard work. Still I am quite happy that he got the belt...

Another example of the WBA jokes. The "real" WBA champ is Haye who beat Mormeck. Remember Mormeck had destroyed Hill to obtain this famous WBA title (a younger and better version of Hill...). Mormeck also beat Hill in a rematch. How can a boxer obtain the WBA title from Hill after that ?!? Mystery of the WBA and ot their "interim" "vacant" "normal" titles...
Beating Hill now is a good performance but it's just enough to secure a place in the top 10. Before that Arslan had badly struggled with Brudov who is a limited brawler who had been unable to win more that one round out of 12 against the same Hill...
You are right to a certain degree, fitir!
Arslan did struggle with Brudov, and yes,Virgil Hill was past his prime when he lost to Arslan. However,Arslan also beat Drozd who is quite underrated and one of the cruiser weight division's most promising fighters.Furthermore Arslan drawed with Tokarev who is a genuine top 10 fighter. And last but not least he retired Alexander Petkovic.
Though Arslan isnt the most talented, skilled, heavy handed fighter out there he deserves a spot among the top 10 fighter.I for my part would rank him ahead of fighters like Kraj,Godfrey,Wilson,Bell, and Tokarev(at this point of their careers).
