What happened exactly with Universum ? Golovkin is a major talent and I cannot understand that.

Golovkin says his contract with them is over, Universum says it's not. Universum got an interim ruling in their favor a couple weeks ago, which is why they had to move the Tapia fight from Panama to Kazakhstan. They've had lawsuits with most of their top fighters over the last few years, but most of them settled (Sturm, Dzinziruk, Erdei, etc.)

Thanks for the information...those things are always complicated. You can do without the big historical promoters if you are big enough yourself (as the Klitschko did with K2) but leaving too soon can be a mistake. Golovkin was probably impatient but I am not sure he made the good choice.

People think I'm a nuthugger but I'm not, he is simply one of the best boxers around. He'd beat anyone at 160 or 168 imo.
. Lemieux's power is probably comparable with Golovkin's but Golovkin has an excellent boxing brain and would put quite a beating on Lemieux i reckon. Golovkin is ready for anyone at 160lbs and he is that good that he would beat Martinez i reckon.

N'Dam N'Jikam has to beat Lorenzo this Saturday...

Does Golovkin even have a tune-up in the works?

Otherwise that's a six month layoff.

Golovkin's manager said they already know their next opponent (N'jikam) and the tentative location is Monaco. Gennady is in the US right now for training camp.
