No doubt.
He was a savage, vicious, animal.
A killer.

The picture definitely looks distorted. The thing that sticks out to me the most is the size of his fists.

Dempsey was known to have big fists.
The picture might be distorted but it looks quite normal to me. I thought Dempsey had a bigger neck though, this might be him at his skinniest/leanest, drawn fine before a fight.

Well they say guys with big knuckles can punch harder. Looks odd to me, but maybe it is in fact correct.

I could have sworn I'd read somewhere that Dempseys hands were really small and that was quite a distinctive feature of him, gonna have to look that up now

He had big square knuckles too.

I suppose the double-biceps back pose is always gonna look a bit funny.

U,Dempsey's fists were described as looking like "shovels", by his last biographer, who knew him in his last few years..He was a big man from the waist up...

Here is a pic of an elderly Dempsey with Muhammad Ali - even as a frail old man, Demps looks, upper body wise, actually bigger than Ali??

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

the two were presented with an award by the Association for the Help Of Re****ed Children - two big men with big hearts too

Dempsey aged very well and healthy. He made the right call about retiring when he did.
