The legendary master of discipline? I guess Danny Williams can only dream to have same kind of discipline here that Vitali showed. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY1jzjTjIhY[/ame] |

I dont see the issue
he has a serious injury, he used his brain, he might not be fighting today had he continued, nothing to do with heart. Anyone really think Vitali was mentally broken by Byrd?? |

Why was he throwing with both arms in the 9th and looked okay? Is it just coincidence Vitali suddenly quit after Byrd had won the 9th?

Whatever the reason, Chris was starting to kick his ass and I doubt he would let Byrd hit him so much willingly. Byrd would never have hurt him so I'm sure he could have coasted to a win. It was a weird decision, but only Vitali knows how badly it hurt or how dangerous he thought the situation was.

Those injuries sustained, are the worst type of pain in my opinion. The difference between the Danny Williams fight, is Byrd was alot better opponent. It's quite possible, that Vitali felt he didn't want to risk permanent damage, because he knew he couldn't get Byrd out of there...
